It's hard to believe it's already August. I guess it's time to get back to some of my summer house projects.
I know I've been in my house almost 10 years, but I've never gotten around to finishing the exterior door thresholds. Plus some of the doors get exposed to a lot of snow so the jambs get rather weathered. Today I started a project to get them fixed up before winter.

Peeling Paint |

Paint sanded |
And some of the thresholds still have a plastic protective covering on them. So I had to peel off the plastic and scrub off the sticky residue before I could sand them. Others have been worn off so they only needed to be sanded.

Plastic Threshold Cover |
I got 3 doors mostly done today. The thresholds got 2 coats of stain & exterior urethane. Tomorrow they'll need to be lightly sanded and get another coat or 2 of urethane.
But the jambs are painted and should be good for the next couple of years.
And when these 3 doors are done, I have 3 more to do.
